Installation at Flower Hospital Next Step in Enterprise Wide Deployment
CINCINNATI, Ohio October 31, 2005 — LanVision Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: LANV) d\b\a Streamline Health today announced that it will expand its presence within the ProMedica Health System and install its workflow and document management solutions at Flower Hospital. This will be the third ProMedica Health System hospital to implement Streamline Health's solutions. The remaining facilities within the integrated delivery network are planning to rollout Streamline Health solutions in 2006.
With Streamline Health's enterprise workflow and document management solutions, ProMedica Health System will experience increased efficiencies, guaranteed data security, and comprehensive, user-friendly remote access to all health information from a single point of entry. These applications maximize productivity and streamline hospital processes. Streamline Health's document management solution, accessANYwareT, fully supports HIPAA regulations and integrates with key hospital and administrative information systems to deliver accessible, secure, digital documents to authorized users. The application is also the foundational element for many of its workflow-based document management applications, including the Completion Workflow - a Health Information Management chart completion application also purchased by ProMedica as part of the Flower Hospital application expansion.
The contract includes the following Streamline Health solutions:
- accessANYware™: provides enterprise access to a patient's medical and financial records to better coordinate patient care
- Completion Workflow: expedites the completion of the medical record and accelerates the completion of billing services
- Document Capture Products: deliver high speed production scanning and indexing as well as departmental document capture and management
Through information integration provided by accessANYware and the Completion Workflow, Flower Hospital's physicians, clinicians, and staff will have the information they require to make quality decisions that improve patient and financial health.
Dave Selman, ProMedica Health System's Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer stated, "After realizing the benefits of Streamline Health workflows in The Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children's Hospital, we are eager to rollout these solutions in our remaining hospitals throughout ProMedica Health System. All of our facilities desire the document imaging and workflow solutions that Streamline Health offers. Through our strategic partnership with Streamline Health we expect to realize an Enterprise Solution that will save us time and money."
Streamline Health's CEO and President, Brian Patsy, also commented on the rollout saying, "Our workflow-based solutions solve a critical problem in multi-entity health care facilities such as ProMedica by linking documents with existing information systems to streamline information and drive tangible results. We are very excited to help ProMedica achieve its enterprise wide goals as it implements new technology and takes the necessary steps to creating an enterprise Electronic Medical Record. We look forward to assisting them on the installation of accessANYware at Flower Hospital as well as helping to improve their operations throughout their delivery network."
