CINCINNATI and DAYTON, Ohio June, 8, 2006 --- LanVision Systems Inc. d/b/a Streamline Health (NASDAQ: LANV), a leading provider of enterprise document workflow solutions and Standard Register (NYSE:SR), a leading provider of document services, today announced they have formed a new alliance to enable hospitals to improve the efficiency of their document-centric business processes.
The alliance brings together Streamline Health's accessANYwareTM electronic document repository with Standard Register's Patient LinkUpT Enterprise and Secure Admissions Suite to streamline the process of collecting patient information at registration, as well as providing access to that data to improve the revenue cycle and enhance patient care across the healthcare enterprise.
Under the alliance agreement, Streamline Health and Standard Register will integrate and co-market solutions to their combined customer communities. "Our customers have articulated the need to more efficiently handle documents to streamline their key business processes," said Scott Lenz, executive director of business and market development for Streamline Health. "With Standard Register, we leverage their immense experience in helping hospitals to migrate from the world of pre-printed forms to the tangible benefits of integrated document workflow."
Recently, both companies began working on an integration project at a mutual customer, a 390-bed hospital located in the Northeast section of the United States. At this facility, their combined solution will include integration with the hospital's registration system and other key clinical and financial systems to provide seamless access to electronic documents.
"Streamline Health is very focused on solving the challenges our healthcare clients face in migrating to electronic document management, such as processing patient information more efficiently while reducing costs and addressing regulatory requirements. Our alliance with Streamline Health enhances the benefits we deliver through our technology solutions, including the simplicity of an ASP-hosted solution to more easily manage documents on demand," commented Joe Morgan, chief technology officer and general manager of Standard Register's On Demand Solutions Group.
